Long time....

Well I guess that we all at one time or another get busy with life. I have definitely been busy. I had the opportunity to go to beautiful Hawaii to see my sister get married. I don't have any pictures that I can get to right now but if you go onto www.leehambly.com you will be able to find pictures of our trip and the wedding. It was so beautiful. My favorite was when we went to Kauai. It was so beautiful and what I expected Hawaii to be like. I hope that you all enjoy the pictures! I will hopefully post again soon. Hope all is well with everyone!

California Fun!

Here are some more pictures of MacKenzie's trip to Disneyland and Califonia Adventure Park. It was fun!

California Living!

Here are some great pictures of MacKenzie's trip to Disneyland and California Adventures. She was going down just to visit her brother. And her sister and mom surprised her by coming down to visit. It has been a fun time. The only bad thing so far is that the weather hasn't been that great. Sunny but pretty cool. Oh well, it is better than Calgary any day!

Utah!

MacKenzie is in Utah visiting family for Christmas for a week. She has been hanging around with her sister, Caley, and Caley's boyfriend, Conrad. We went to Cafe Rio, MacKenzie's favorite place to eat. Here are some fun pictures of us eating Cafe Rio, I hope that you don't get too jealous. MacKenzie is so lucky that she gets to go to San Diego on the 18th to spend Christmas with her brother, Lee. Hopefully there will be more pictures to follow. Have a happy holiday everyone!

Rob the Hunter

November 1 was the first official day of gun season. Rob just had to go out and hunt the first day. He left Tuesday night for Lethbridge so that first thing in the morning he could be out ready for a kill. It is great though because he got a huge 5 x 5 mule buck. He is still on cloud nine I think. I did't hear from him all day on the 1st until about 2 pm and boy was he excited! He couldn't wait to show and tell everyone. On the way back to Calgary, he even had to stop in High River to show his neices. Emmi thought it was kind of neat, but McKenna wouldn't have anything to do with it; probably better that way. Rob and I have met a good friend named Glenn, who is a pro at hunting. His dad was a guide and he has been bow and gun hunting for most of his life. Rob called me on his way home from Lethbridge area to see if I could go buy a thing that holds the deer, or whatever you have, up in the air and spreads the legs so that you can skin it. I thought that I didn't want to go buy one, so I called up Glenn to see if he had one, which I knew he did, and to ask him if he wanted to help Rob skin the mule. He of course said yes because he gets excited to do things like that. And it was good for me that I didn't have to help Rob. Thanks Glenn! So when Rob finnaly got home, Glenn was there and was impressed at the size of this mule, which made Rob feel really good; seeing that Glenn is more of pro than us. So here are some pictures of Rob and his mule buck as well as Rob and Glenn skining it. It was kind of neat to watch, believe it or not. Now Rob is adicted and I'm sure that we will have a lot of meat to eat for quite a while. It's a good thing I love it!

Bored

Well it is about 10:30 pm and I'm kind of bored. Although I really should go to bed because I'm so tired. I bet as soon as I hit the pillow, I'll be out. It was a pretty fun weekend. I got to spend all weekend with Rob doing what we wanted to do for the most part. We went hunting a bit, had Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday, and then got to spend the day with Dave and Mame and had Thanksgivng dinner again. We also watched the second Work & The Glory. It was awesome! I love watching them, except it kind of makes me upset and sad, as well as happy. It makes me mad because of the way people were treated and it makes me happy to know even more that the church is true! I love the Gospel. Oh and another good thing that happened this weekend is that Dave MacDonald just got called to be the Bishop of his ward. It think that he will be the best Bishop! Anyways, I should probably go to bed now. I hope you enjoy the new look of our blog. Take care and have a great week!

Hunters

So it is the long weekend and all Rob wants to do is go hunting. This morning Rob wanted to get up at 4:30 in the morning and go hunting. Actually he has been wanting to go camping in our camper. The only problem is that we need to fix it up before we can use it, and funds are a little in the short side right now. Anyways, the alarm goes off at 4:30 this morning and I could NOT wake Rob up. It probably didn't help that we didn't go to bed until about 12:30- 1:00. So needless to say I couldn't wake Rob up. And of course I didn't beat him over the head to get up because I was really tired and was ok that we didn't get up at that time. But when 7:30 rolled around, Rob was up and wanting to go NOW! SO we got up and got ready. The only sucky thing is that Rob has the pager for work this weekend and of course it had to go off. Rob wasn't really to happy aobut that. After quite a while we finally got going. We went out by Priddis, Millarville, Turner Valley areas. It was really beautiful out because closer to the Mountains it had snowed lightly and all the trees were lightly covered. I love it out there! At one point we were driving down a road not too traveled when all of a sudden a huge Moose came walking across the road. It was amazing, what a beautiful creature! We had driven to a ton of places after that to try and find some deer or something that Rob has taggs for. But there was no luck. When we were getting tired, we decided to go to High River because it was closer than Calgary. After that we decided to go back out and try again. After no success, we finally saw a hole herd of deer or something on someone's property. Rob said that we should go and ask the owner if it would be ok to hunt on their property. The guy said of course get them out of there. So Rob and I made plans of what we were going to do. I was going to scare them into his direction and them he was going to shoot one. I did my job perfectly but unfortunately Rob went a different way and didn't have sucess. Oh well, now Rob wants to go on Monday and try again. Now we are at Paula's house and we are going to stay the night because we are going to have Thanksgiving Dinner tomorrow. Umm....turkey! I can't wait! I hope that everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! Make sure to remember all of the things that you are Thankfull for! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Long time, alot has happened

So as everyone says at one time or another, it has been along time since we have written anything. We have done quite a few things. Let's see......where to start. So Rob and I have been thinking about buying a truck so that we can hull stuff to the dump, finish the basement, and go hunting. A couple of weekends ago, we set up an appointment to go and see a truck that Rob found online. When we called the guy the afternoon that we were supposed to meet this guy, he said that he sold it the night before. Boy, was Rob mad! He wanted the truck pretty bad and I was a little excited because I wanted to just get busy on what we wanted to do and not have to worry about looking for a truck anymore. So we spend all Saturday morning looking for a new truck. Rob came across a 1972 Chevy that had a camper. We weren't looking for a camper or something that old, but Rob has always liked that style and if the camper was in good shape it would be a bonus. So we called the guy and he said that is wasn't sold and that we could go look at it. The only thing was that it was at his uncles house who lives in Pridis. Where the heck is Pridis? Well it is this little community about 20 minutes southeast of Calgary. So we went. It was a great little place. Beautiful scenery. I think that it is the best kept secret around Calgary. Don't tell anyone! It has a little strip mall, okay maybe you can't call it a mall. It only has about 2 or 3 little shoppes that are in business. It had a cutie little cafe type store that we stopped and had ice cream at. So we went and saw the truck and camper and Rob offered them what they asked and it was ours. One of the funny things is that we took Dewey with us. We had him on a leash and he liked it out there. He walked around and even relieved himself on the man's driveway. I told Rob to get a bag to clean it up, but he just wanted to keep looking at the truck. And wouldn't you know it, Rob was walking to the front of the truck and there he stepped right in Dewey's poop! I warned him. It was pretty funny. So now we have a '72 Chevy and a camper. Taking off the camper is another story, which I will write about later. But last weekend, the 17th or something, Rob and I were invited down south near Frank Slide and Blairmore to come camping and hunting with Tony and Dianne. It was the best weekend that I have had in a long time. We had a camp fire everynight, slept in a trailer, and went quading for 2 days. The only bad part was that our camera battery was dead and of course couldn't take any pictures. Dianna took some for us, I will post them when I see them from her. We saw some of the most amazing scenery when we went quading. I couldn't believe how far we went. Rob and I had to double on a quad, which was fun. He mainly drove but I got to drive a little bit. I only almost rolled it about twice. It was fun though. We went to places that you could only see on a quad or if you had a tracker or something. It was so awesome. I don't really have the words to explain it! I wish that we could have stayed longer, but we have silly jobs to come back to and I guess we need to make money somehow. Then this last weekend, Rob fixed his mom's car all day and then we met Mark and Erica in Shawnessy and she took us out for dinner to Boston Pizza. We usually like that place and have never had any problems. Well that night was a different story. We got there sat down and ordered our food. We were all pretty hungry. Cyndi got a pizza, I got a Ham and Chicken Stromboli sandwich, Mark and Erica shared nachos, and Rob splurged for the Steak sandwich. What a terrible choice on his part. We all got our food and started eating. Rob took one bite and thought that his steak was really chewy. He picked it up to look at it and it was cold and looked the edges looked like they were frozen and cooked really quickly, but not cooked right. He cut the middle and it was so rare! Gross! He is not usually one to say anything, so Erica piped up when the waitress asked how the food was. The waitress looked at the steak and agreed that it wasn't good. She offered to get him another one and he agreed. So we all kept eating and poor Rob who was the most hungry, had to watch us all eat our food while his was cooking. So his steak came out but he still had to wait for his fries. Before he started eating his food he decided to cut it in the middle just to make sure. OH MY GOSH!!!! It was worse than the first one. This one looked like jelly on the inside, it was so rare. I don't think that they even cooked it. So was apoligized but told them to forget his food. Poor Rob was so hungry! All he had was fries to eat. The girl in charge of getting the food out came and apoligized and offered to pay for his meal, his dessert if he wanted one, and a dessert for the rest of us. As well as a gift certificate for next time. So that was ok I guess. By the time we were done it was pretty late, so we all went home and went to bed. About 2 or 3 in the morning I couldn't sleep, I was tossing and turning, my stomach hurt real bad! I got up and threw up and couldn't stop! I had food poisening! Me of all of them, got food poisening! I wasn't a happy camper. At one point, Rob woke me up because I had fallen asleep on the bathroom floor. He felt bad, but I didn't want to bother him while he was sleeping. So I felt terrible all day. Josh called us and wanted to come to High River. It only took me about 2 or 3 hours to get ready and together enough to walk out to the car without throwing or pooping. We went out there and all I could do was sleep. It wasn't fun. But Rob was really good to me. Thanks Rob for talking care of me and helping me feel better! So that wasn't a fun weekend, but the only good thing was that I got the most sleep I have had in years. Only because I was sick. I guess I'd rather loose sleep than be sick. Anyway, that was a long blog! I hope that you didn't give up reading. I will post the pictures from when we went quading as soon as I get them.
